Relationship and Mental Health Support in Miami
Evidence-based psychiatric evaluation and individualized care for patients age 5 and older in Miami and throughout Florida.
Understanding the concern
Relationship stress can affect mood, anxiety, sleep, concentration, and daily functioning. It can also be influenced by depression, trauma, ADHD symptoms, substance use, grief, medical stress, or other psychiatric concerns.
Common signs and symptoms
- Conflict or emotional distress that is difficult to manage
- Anxiety, depression, irritability, or sleep problems connected with relationship stress
- Repeated patterns that affect functioning or safety
- Difficulty coping with separation, caregiving, family change, or loss
- Concern that a psychiatric symptom may be contributing to relationship problems
What a psychiatric evaluation considers
A psychiatric evaluation focuses on the individual patient, including current symptoms, history, medications, sleep, substance use, safety, functioning, and goals. It is not the same as couples or family therapy.
