Understanding the concern

- Avoidance of opportunities or relationships because of fear of failure or rejection
- Difficulty identifying values, goals, or a stable sense of self
- Mood, anxiety, eating, or body-image concerns
- Symptoms that interfere with school, work, relationships, or daily functioning
What a psychiatric evaluation considers
Dr. Brian Villa, MD reviews the broader clinical context, including mood, anxiety, trauma history, developmental stage, medical concerns, medications, substance use, relationships, functioning, and safety.
